Top Photo: We visited a tribal village, and the poverty was truly terrible. You can see how small some of the shacks are that people live in, just grass and stick. They have virtually nothing, just maybe some clothes and a cup. Note how the land is denuded.

2nd photo from top: A whole family living inside a one-room hut about the size of two card tables.

3rd photo: tribal boy in front of another shack.

2nd from bottom: solemn tribal women and some of their kids. They obviously don’t have much to smile about.

Bottom: some of the villages. The kids in the center are holding some of the garlands of red flowers the villages made to hang around our necks as a welcome.
