We’re still trying to get used to the radically different urban environment. You can get an idea of what a typical street looks like with Caye in it, in one of the photos above. Another photo is of the tangle of electrical cables above the main intersection of town. Any electricians out there? How would you like to sort out that tangle; we’d welcome comments. The third photo is of a parked bike, and illustrates how they can be loaded. Wish we had had a camera when bikes carrying loads of live chickens passed by.
One of the friendly shopkeepers asked us how old we were. We told him and he said “I am only 50, so I can call you “uncle” and “auntie”, which he has done ever since.
